Simplicity is the key with this Wacoal Front Closure Bra, loved by not just me, but the thousands of ladies that adore the Wacoal range. The unique the Body by Wacoal Racerback Underwire Bra takes, with racerback style straps (or a T-Back design as many ladies say) set it apart from other similar styles on the market.
Design Features of this Wacoal Front Closure Bra
- Simple Single Hook and Bar Closure
- Simple familiar cup design
- Racerback (or T-Back straps)
- Light unlined smooth cups
- Supplex® fabric which resembles the feel of cotton
- Decorate mesh detail on apex of strap
The Body by Wacoal Underwire Front Closure Bra is the sister style to the - the Body by Wacoal women’s seamless 65115 bra (which is not front close). This is a common theme we see with Wacoal, known for their strong front closure range of bras. They take their best selling styles and simply add the front closure design element. It’s a winning formula as they already know the shape suits so many women.
Things I loved about the Perfect Primer Front Close Bra
My favourite things about this bra are…
- I'm not a huge fan of purely cotton bras from a functional perspective, but i like that this bra has the cotton-like feel with the strength of the Supplex®
- The Racerback straps are a nice addition, ensuring straps won't slip throughout your day.
- Unlike a lot of front closure bras that feel a are bit "dowdy" in their design. With this style I just felt like I was wearing a regular bra , suited to my age (early 40's).

Fitting Tips for the Perfect Primer Bra
I found the Wacoal 65124 front closure bra to fit true to size.
I read some reviews stating the cups fit small. However given that it was only a small percentage of people claiming that, I would suggest that this is a result of that customer not having a good idea of their bra size. We find most ladies in change rooms believe themselves to be one or two cup sizes bigger than they actually are. Particularly given our bras stretch with us, if you go to look at the size of your old bra and just buy the same size when your actual size has changed then you may well find the un-stretched new bra doesn’t work for you.
If you have worn Wacoal’s much loved Body by Wacoal 55115 bra, and have been fitted in to this recently your size should absolutely be the same.

What sizes does the Wacoal Women's Front Close T-Back Bra come in?
As is usual for Wacoal, I find the size range on a lot. oftheir product limiting… Just like the small run of sizes available in this style. I understand that due to front closure bras being such a small percentage of total sales that it would be difficult to justify having a big range of sizes available.

Things to be aware of with the Body by Wacoal Racerback Underwire bra...
Two things may surprise people with this style… Firstly, many will assume its a molded, lined or padded cup - because it is smooth - but it is not. It is a very thin light cup. It won’t hide nipple show if this is an issue for you. So for some people it’s best for winter (wearing lots of layers) or for those that don’t have issues (or any concern) with nipples showing through.
Secondly, like a lot of front closure bras, there is no adjustment to make the ribcage band smaller as it stretches. The materials used are strong in order to withstand this. But it is just something to be aware of. Very few front closure bras have adjustment at the back as well - like a traditional bra would.

My review wrap up
A seamless (both figuratively and literally) step in to front closure bras for those that are keen to try it but want the familiarity of a traditional bra. An easy everyday bra that will work under most clothes.
I also think this style is a great option for those with sloping shoulders that have issues with straps falling off their shoulders.
The biggest issue with the style is that it is only available in a limited number of sizes. If you fall outside the middle of the bell curve with bra sizing then this style simply won’t suit. Don’t be tempted to try a sister size. It simply won’t work due to the inability to adjust around the ribcage.
